Meet Anuj, a passionate young kabaddi player from Thada in Rajasthan, born on October 2, 2002. Currently residing in Bhiwani, he’s embracing both his love for the sport and his studies, pursuing a Master’s degree in Physical Sports in his first year. Growing up in a family where hard work was the norm, with his father Satyapal Singh working as a shopkeeper and his mother Sunita Devi juggling between tailoring and housework, Anuj learned the importance of dedication early on. His journey into kabaddi began at the age of 16. Anuj wanted to stay fit and active, as he was a hungry boy with a lot of energy. Under the guidance of Coach Madanpal from 2016 and now with Sanjay Kumar, he practices at Bhim Stadium in Bhiwani. As a left raider, Anuj has honed his skills, especially his favorite techniques like the jump and toe touch. In 2023, he played for Team Chaudhary Bansilal University Bhiwani in the Khelo India University Games, helping them secure second place. After playing the Khelo India University Games Anuj got listed in the PKL auction for both Season 9 and Season 10. In 2024 he was also in the training camp with Bengal Warriorz. Anuj's future is bright; he aims to shine in the upcoming Yuva Kabaddi Series edition and hopes to be drafted into a Pro Kabaddi League team for Season 12. With aspirations that match his dedication, Anuj is a name to watch in the kabaddi world.
