D Ranjith

D Ranjith was born on October 7, 2001, in the colorful region of Puducherry, and his journey into the world of kabaddi began at the tender age of ten. Inspired by the senior players around him, he quickly fell in love with the sport. Growing up in a humble household, he learned the importance of hard work from his parents, Deivaragam and Manjula, who dedicated their lives to labor. Ranjith’s family has always been his biggest cheerleaders. He shares a close bond with his elder siblings, Kumaran and Tamil Selvi. Training at the Mangalam Sports Club under the guidance of Coach Anand Bhaskar, he has honed his skills and developed into a versatile player. As an all-rounder, he excels as a Left - Right Raider, and Left Corner Defender. His favorite skills include bonus techniques, running hand touches, and ankle holds, all of which he admires in his idol, Anup Kumar. With a Bachelor’s degree in Arts and a plethora of participation in the Yuva Kabaddi Series and Junior Nationals, Ranjith's dream is clear: to make his mark in the Pro Kabaddi League. His dedication to the game shines brightly as he looks toward a promising future.
