Ankit Singh, born on December 16, 2004, in Patna, Bihar, has always been driven by a desire to make a name for himself and earn respect in his community. Growing up in a loving family with his father Raju Ranjan Singh working in a government job and his mother Sunita Devi as a homemaker, Ankit found himself with the support to pursue his dreams. He has an elder brother, Rahul Singh, and an elder sister, Supriya Singh, both of whom are inspired by his sports journey. He stepped into the world of kabaddi at the age of 14, eager to be recognized for his skills and determination. Training under the guidance of coach Abhinav Singh at Pataliputra Academy, Ankit has honed his abilities as a Right Corner Defender, particularly excelling at the Double Thigh Hold. His favorite player, Ravinder Pahal, fuels his ambition, as Ankit admires the way Pahal approaches the game. Despite facing challenges in national competitions, including the Junior and Senior Nationals in 2024, Ankit remains undeterred. Presently, he is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in his first year. With eyes set on representing India in kabaddi, Ankit is determined to turn his dreams into reality and showcase his skills on grand stages.
