Pirati Srisivatejesh

Born on August 22, 2003, in the lively town of Avanigadda, Andhra Pradesh, Pirati Srisivatejesh’s journey into the world of kabaddi is truly inspiring. Raised in a supportive family, with his father Ravindra Babu as a Physical Education Teacher and his mother Sirisha as a dedicated homemaker, Srisivatejesh was nurtured in an environment that celebrated sports. Though his younger brother, Yashwanth, doesn’t share his passion for kabaddi, he’s always cheering him on from the sidelines. At the age of 16, Srisivatejesh stepped onto the kabaddi scene as a Left Raider, where he quickly began to shine. Under the keen guidance of his coach Sreekanth at the SKY Academy in Vijayawada, he honed his skills and developed an impressive jumping ability, a skill he proudly claims as his best asset. Inspired by his favorite player, Naveen Kumar Goyat, he admires the discipline and sportsmanship that shines through in both their games. Srisivatejesh has made significant strides in his career, participating in the Junior National Championships in 2022 and 2023, with his sights now set on the Senior National event in 2024. While he balances his usual training, he’s also pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, demonstrating his commitment to both academics and sports. As he looks to the future, Srisivatejesh dreams of donning the Indian jersey and leaving a lasting mark in the world of kabaddi.
