Suraj Arun Pawar, born on February 22, 2003, in Akola, Maharashtra, is a rising star in the world of kabaddi. Growing up in a vibrant family where his father, Arun, toils as a farmer and his mother, Pushpatai, manages the home, Suraj found inspiration in the simple joys of life and the community around him. Being the eldest among his siblings, which includes three sisters and a brother named Dipak who shares his passion for kabaddi, family support has always played a pivotal role in his journey. Suraj's kabaddi voyage began at the age of 16, sparked by watching classmates compete on the school ground. He quickly discovered his talent, particularly excelling in his favorite skill, the jump. His dedication soon led him to represent his region at significant tournaments, including the Khelo India event in Guwahati in 2020, and he also participated in the Sub-Junior National Championship in 2019 and the Junior National Championship in 2021. Currently pursuing his undergraduate studies in Bachelor of Computer Applications, Suraj is not just focused on academics; he dreams of donning the national jersey and playing for India. Inspired by his favorite player, Anup Kumar, Suraj combines his commitment to kabaddi with his love for cricket, aiming to leave a mark in both sports. With a heart of a soldier in his current role and a fiery passion for kabaddi, Suraj Pawar is poised for a bright future.
