Born on June 7, 2001, in Magurpani, Nuapada District, Odisha, this aspiring kabaddi star has a heart that beats for the sport and a story that inspires. Growing up in a vibrant village where kabaddi was a way of life, he fell in love with the game at the age of 14. He fondly recalls how watching matches on television sparked his interest, leading him to join others from his village in this enthralling sport. With support from his family, especially his father, Kanhaya Raut, who works as a peon in a borewell company, he embraced Kabaddi wholeheartedly. His father was not just his biggest cheerleader but also a motivator throughout his early training at the Sports Club Magurpani. The dedication and guidance from family fueled his journey as an all-rounder, where he shines in both left corner defense and right raiding, excelling in skills like the chain tackle and hand touch. A proud participant in competitions like the Yuva Kabaddi Series Monsoon Edition 2023 and the Junior National tournament in 2019-20, he celebrated a significant milestone by winning the best defender award in his first Yuva Kabaddi match. Off the field, he's currently pursuing his undergraduate studies in Bachelor of Arts and dreams of securing a job in Defence through the sports quota while maintaining a passion for cricket and volleyball. With admiration for Pardeep Narwal's dazzling dubki skills, he looks forward to his future in kabaddi with unwavering determination.
