Born on December 20, 2002, Ali is the eldest of four brothers, guided by his parents, Sayyad Goundi, who works as a daily wage laborer, and Tulsuma, a devoted homemaker. Currently residing in Vasco, Goa, where his mother is originally from, Ali's upbringing instilled in him a sense of responsibility and ambition. Ali began his kabaddi journey at the age of 12 in school, where he quickly discovered a deep passion for the sport. Under the guidance of coaches like Yogesh Desai and Pasu Goudar at the Durga Devi Sports Club, he developed a strong foundation in skills such as the Dubki and Jump techniques. With his talent as an all-rounder, Ali has represented Goa in various national competitions, including winning a bronze medal at the Junior Nationals in 2019, a highlight in his blossoming career. As a current freelancer in event management and a third-year Bachelor of Computer Applications student, Ali dreams of completing his education while pursuing kabaddi wholeheartedly. He idolizes players like Pawan Sehrawat for his impressive jump skills and Anup Kumar for his mastery of bonuses.
