Hemant Sinha, a spirited kabaddi player from the serene town of Medha in Chhattisgarh, has always embraced the values of hard work and dedication. Born on April 22, 2002, he grew up in a farming family where his father, Puran Singh Sinha, and mother, Vimalabhai, balanced their agricultural responsibilities with running a small shop. As the youngest sibling, with an elder brother Jitender and sister Hema, Hemant found solace and excitement in sports, especially kabaddi, which he fell in love with at the tender age of ten. Training at the Dongurghud Kabaddi Club under the guidance of coaches Rohit Patothi and Tulsi Mandavi, Hemant has flourished as an all-rounder. He thrives in the roles of both a right corner defender and a right raider, where he particularly enjoys executing his favorite hand touch skill. Influenced by the likes of his favorite players—Aslam Inamdar, Mohit Goyat, and Krishan Dhull—his game embodies intelligence and strategy on the mat. Having played in the Junior National Kabaddi Championship for Chhattisgarh, Hemant dreams of furthering his kabaddi journey. However, he also acknowledges the importance of a backup plan and hopes to secure a job if kabaddi doesn’t lead to a career, all while keeping his love for cricket alive.
