Nilesh Shinde

Nilesh Ravindra Shinde, born on December 4, 2002, hails from Pithoragad, Askot District, Uttarakhand. His father, Ravindra Shinde, served in the Indian Army before passing away, and his mother, Sumati Shinde, is a homemaker. Nilesh has an elder brother, Sagar Shinde, who does not play Kabaddi. Growing up in a military environment, Nilesh developed a passion for Kabaddi at the age of 11. He is an agile All-Rounder, excelling as a Right Cover Defender and Left Raider. Nilesh's favorite skill on the mat is the ""Shoot"" technique, which he executes with precision. Under the mentorship of Kulbhushan Kulkarni, Nilesh refines his Kabaddi skills at the Om Sports Academy in Chiplun, Ratnagiri. His favorite player is Ajay Thakur, whose remarkable mindset on the field has inspired Nilesh since childhood. Despite his father's army postings taking the family across various locations, Nilesh has represented his district and university in Kabaddi. His participation in the Junior Nationals in 2021 held in Telangana and the University State Games in 2021 in Amravati are significant highlights of his career. Currently pursuing his first year in Hotel Management for his college graduation degree, Nilesh aspires to play in the Pro Kabaddi League and secure a job through his Kabaddi skills in the future.
