Meet Rahul, a passionate young kabaddi player born on June 8, 2003, in the charming village of Ahri, Jajjar, Haryana. Growing up in a loving family where his father, Rakesh Kumar, works tirelessly in the fields, and his mother, Sushila Devi, manages the home, Rahul was raised with the values of hard work and dedication. He shares his home with an elder brother, Sahil, who, like him, is an avid kabaddi enthusiast, and an elder sister, Pushpa. Rahul’s journey into kabaddi began at the age of 14, inspired by the remarkable stories of local players from his village. With a deep love for the sport, he quickly embraced his role as a Left Corner Defender. Under the mentorship of coach Ravinder Nada, he honed his skills, particularly mastering the ankle hold technique. He can often be found perfecting his gameplay in the village stadium, driven by his passion for kabaddi. Rahul has already made a name for himself, playing for teams like the Tadoba Tigers and Kaziranga Rhinos in the Yuva Kabaddi Series. He also had an exciting stint with Dabang Delhi in the Pro Kabaddi League, where they reached the semifinals. Currently in his first year of Bachelor of Arts, he dreams of donning the Indian jersey one day. With bravery in his heart and determination in his soul, Rahul strives to bring glory to his roots and motivate the next generation of kabaddi players.
