Santosh Hemawadagi, born on July 5, 2002, in the lively city of Bagalkot, Karnataka, grew up in a family that exuded dedication and ambition. His father, Mahesh, a retired Indian Army officer, and his mother, Sharada, a passionate teacher, instilled in him the values of hard work and discipline from a young age. Alongside his older sister Yashwini and his sibling Kavitha, Santosh found the support he needed to pursue his dreams. At the age of 18, he discovered kabaddi, captivated by the local culture where the sport unified everyone. It wasn't long before he trained under the watchful eye of Coach Srishail in Davanagere, where he embraced his role as a Right Cover Defender. Known for his dynamic Dash, Santosh's lively spirit shines through on the court, and he admires the tactical brilliance of blocking as well. Currently, Santosh juggles his responsibilities as a postman with his passion for kabaddi. Holding a Bachelor of Arts degree, he dreams of making a mark in the sports world. Inspired by seasoned player Surjeet Singh, he is determined to follow his path while nurturing a promising career in athletics.
