Meet Gagan Ashok Pinam, a rising star in the world of kabaddi, hailing from the charming town of Badami in Karnataka. Born on November 9, 2005, Gagan has always been surrounded by inspiration. His father, Ashok, works as a gardener, while his mother, Hulgyamma, balances her time between being a maid and preparing delicious meals for events. Gagan shares a close bond with his siblings, especially since all of their names have a special connection to God. Gagan's journey into kabaddi began in the second standard when he played in his school uniform, but it was his coach, Jalos, who ignited a deeper passion for the sport during his seventh-grade year. Today, he proudly plays as a Left Corner Defender and is known for his exceptional ankle hold and chain tackle skills. His dedication led him to the National Junior Championships in Hyderabad, where he bagged a bronze medal for the Goa team. Currently training under Omkar Sir and practicing on open grounds and beaches in Goa with his friend Akash Kamal, Gagan dreams of representing India on an international level. He is inspired by greats like Rohit Kumar and is determined to make his family proud, envisioning a future where he breaks new grounds for his household.
