Shrikant Panditrao Raut, born on June 21, 2001, in Amrawati, Maharashtra, has woven his life story into the vibrant fabric of kabaddi. Growing up in a close-knit family, with his father, Panditrao, working tirelessly as a farmer and his mother, Jaymala, managing their home, Shrikant learned the value of dedication early on. With an elder sister, Chaitali, by his side, he was always inspired to strive for greatness. Shrikant's tryst with kabaddi began at the age of 19, sparked by the electrifying atmosphere of local tournaments he would watch. It was here that his admiration for the sport blossomed, leading him to embrace the challenge of becoming a Left Raider. Under the guidance of his coach, Sathish Dafre, at Sai Vidarbha Sport, he honed his skills, particularly excelling in jumps and hand touches, which quickly became his favorite techniques. One of Shrikant's proudest moments came during university matches when he performed a spectacular super raid against a formidable opponent, solidifying his passion for the game. As an undergraduate pursuing a degree in Commerce, he balances academics with his aspirations to play in the Pro Kabaddi League. With dreams of making a mark in professional sports, Shrikant continues to be inspired by his favorite player, Aslam Inamdar, admiring his speed and style on the mat. All the while, he cherishes the support of his family as he navigates this exciting journey in kabaddi.
