Rajesh Dehury was born on December 25, 2003, in the tranquil town of Kamakhyanagar, Odisha. He grew up in a loving family led by his father, Mangal, a rice and vegetable farmer, and his mother, Subhandra, who managed the household while caring for their cattle. With two younger brothers and an older sister, Rashmita, who is a homemaker, Rajesh found a nurturing environment that instilled in him values of hard work and determination. At 15, a spark was ignited in Rajesh when he watched his seniors compete in Kabaddi matches at school. This inspired him to dive into the sport, training under the watchful eye of Coach Bijay Kumar Gun. Each day, he cycles 20 kilometers to Dhenkanal Stadium, juggling his training with a part-time job at a helmet store. His favorite skills, the Dubki and scoring bonuses, reflect his dedication to improving his game, all while looking up to the legendary player Anup Kumar for inspiration. Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree, Rajesh dreams of leaving his mark on the Kabaddi scene and aspires to play in the Pro Kabaddi League. He hopes to inspire the next generation by becoming a sports teacher. Winning the Senior District Championship with the Cuttack team is just the beginning of Rajesh's promising journey in Kabaddi.
