Ravi Kumar

Ravi Kumar, born on June 8, 2002, in the lively village of Adampur, Haryana, has nurtured a deep love for kabaddi from a young age. Growing up in a humble home, his father, Ghisa Ram, toils as a farmer while his mother, Murthi Devi, manages the household. Ravi shares his life with his younger brother, Kapil, who equally loves the thrill of kabaddi. At just 12 years old, inspiration struck as he watched local players showcasing their skills. It was then that he decided to follow the same path, training under the dedicated Rampal Kaushik at the Arjun Stadium in Jhind. As a Right Corner Defender, Ravi excels in the double thigh hold, a technique he has grown particularly fond of. He often looks up to his fellow villager, Sumit Sangwan, hoping to carve out a legacy like his. He has participated in the YKS Monsoon Edition in Madurai and Khelo India in Bhiwani. Ravi aspires to don the national colours and represent India on an international stage. With unwavering dedication, he trains hard, eager to embrace the challenges that lie ahead on his kabaddi journey.
