After some exciting bouts on Day 1, the survival round of the Tamil Nadu Club Yuva Kabaddi Series witnessed some class games from Pool A teams. The opening match between Nellai Kings vs Kattakudi Sports ended with the Kings picking up their second win. Alathankarai Club made their comeback, after registering a 22-point victory against KR Sports. Karapagam University Yuva’s again clinched the second day, beating N.A Academy by 8 points. The final game between VELS University and Jayachitra Club resulted in VELS walking out victorious.
Top performer for the day was again Alathankarai Club’s Jegan Dhanasekaran who added another Super 10 under his belt. His 14-point game helped Alathankarai change their fortune as the team lost their inaugural game. Vasanth Murugan was the second star of the day who signed off with 10 points, his first Super 10 of the series. Lastly, Sakthivel Thangavelu’s forty-defense resulted in a 7 tackle point finish, let alone a fresh High 5.
