The second last day of Krantijyot Mahila Pratishthan Yuva Kabaddi Series (Men’s) Inter District Youth League 2024; Matchday 31, ended with Ahmednagar and Palghar booking their tickets to the YKS finals. There were thrilling encounters, especially in the first match between Nandurbar and Sangli and the last game between Kolhapur and Palghar. Let’s have a look at the top performers of the day;
Abhishek Gunge (Sangli District) - Abhishek played an important role in Sangli’s victory in the SemiFinal Qualifier 1. A top-class raiding performance was witnessed on the kabaddi mat. He was on the verge of scoring a Thunder 20 as he picked up 19 raid points and a tackle point. He made 6 unsuccessful raids but also scored two Super Raids. His performance was vital in helping his team defeat Nandurbar while he was complimented by his fellow teammate Abhiraj.
Abhiraj Pawar (Sangli District) - A heroic performance from Abhiraj against Nandurbar, ensured that Sangli qualified to the Semifinal 1. He turned out to be the Raiding Machine, as he scored 15 touchpoints and 3 bonus points, which almost led him to a Thunder 20. In this contest, he made three unsuccessful raids. He also played an important role in Sangli's close win in the extra time.
Jayesh Mahajan (Nandurbar District) – Jayesh played an important role in Nandhurbar’s fight against Sangli. His all-around contribution was decisive in consolidating a firm grip against their mighty opponent. However, they fell short by a slight margin of two points. He scored 16 raid points and 6 tackle points in the contest. This performance includes 14 touchpoints, 2 bonus points, a Super Raid, and a Super Tackle.
