Matchday 20 of Krantijyot Mahila Pratishthan Yuva Kabaddi Series (Men’s) Inter District Youth League 2024 saw four one-sided battles in the Promotion Round. Ahmednagar and Kolhapur continue their winning streak. Nandurbar and Sangli won their ties which opened the fight for the third and fourth positions among Nandurbar, Palghar, Sangli, and Ratnagiri. There were multiple fantastic performances throughout the day. Let’s have a look at the top performers of the day:
Omkar Patil (Kolhapur) - The best performer of the day; Omkar Patil, delivered an absolute raiding performance to mesmerize the YUVA arena. With his lethal kabaddi skills, Omkar fetched 15 raid points, which included 14 touchpoints and a bonus point. He only had two unsuccessful raid attempts throughout the match. He played a crucial role in making the contest in favor of Kolhapur against Beed by shifting the momentum and winning by a huge margin of 36 points.
Abhiraj Pawar (Sangli) – Abhiraj played an important role in Sangli’s victory against Ratnagiri. His raiding performance was decisive in consolidating a firm grip as he scored 14 raid points which consisted of 10 touch points and 4 bonus points, with just two unsuccessful attempts at the raiding front. He stole the show with his raiding skills and continues to give hope to the Sangli fans for their qualification in the promotion round.
Shubham Patil (Sangli) - An all-around performance from Shubham has led to a phenomenal finish for Sangli’s campaign ahead of the last in the Promotion round. He fetched 4 raid points and 5 tackle points (High 5) against Ratnagiri, which helped in securing a victory for Sangli by a margin of 10 points. He made only 1 unsuccessful raid and a single failed tackle in the contest. His form will be crucial for deciding Sangli’s promotion in this round.
