Matchday 19 of Krantijyot Mahila Pratishthan Yuva Kabaddi Series (Men’s) Inter District Youth League 2024 witnessed victories for Mumbai Shahar, Ahmednagar, Nandurbar, and Kolhapur District teams. All the games were won easily in a one-sided manner. Multiple YUVA players performed tremendously well in the YKS arena so, let’s have a look at the Top-3 Performers of the day;
- Prafull Zaware (Ahmednagar District) - Prafull turned out to be the day's top performer with his lethal raiding skills against Ratnagiri District. He was an integral part of the Starting 7 and scored 14 raid points, which included a Super Raid and two unsuccessful raids. He also contributed in the defensive front and scored two tackle points through a Super Tackle. Prafull’s form was crucial in helping Ahmedabad secure their fifth consecutive win in the Promotion Round.
Abhishek Gunge (Sangli District) - Abhishek again played an important role in Sangli’s fight after yesterday’s loss. His contribution was decisive in putting up a spirited fight against Kolhapur. He scored 14 raid points, including 11 touch points, and 3 bonus points, with just a single unsuccessful attempt at the raiding front. Unfortunately, he was unable to fetch a point at tackling front in 2 unsuccessful attempts.
Rupesh Salunkhe (Mumbai Shahar) – With an exceptional performance at the tackling front, Rupesh scored a High-5 against Beed. He exactly scored 5 tackle points, which included two unsuccessful tackles. He finally gave Mumbai their maiden win in the Promotion Round and gave their fans something to cheer about in this phase of the edition.
