Matchday 15 of Krantijyot Mahila Pratishthan Yuva Kabaddi Series (Men’s) Inter District Youth League 2024 saw four thrilling battles in the Promotion Round. Today was a great day for the Raiders as they had a good run in all four matches. We had records broken in this tournament, courtesy of some exceptional raiding performances, with a 30-point performance from Raj Acharya. Let’s have a look at the Top-3 Performers of the day:
Raj Acharya (Mumbai Shahar) - Raj Acharya was the backbone of Ratnagiri’s team in today’s contest against Sangli. He mesmerized the fans with his lethal kabaddi skills, as he fetched a massive Thunder 20 by scoring 30 raid points, which included 21 touchpoints and 9 bonus points. He made 4 Super Raids and tried his best to help his team win the first match of the Promotion Round. However, this went in vain as they lost to Sangli by 9 points.
Abhiraj Pawar (Sangli District) – A top-class raiding performance was witnessed in the kabaddi mat from Akshay. He scored a Super-10 against Mumbai by scoring 14 raid points and two tackle points. He made 2 unsuccessful raids and 1 failed tackles in the contest. However, his performance was vital in helping his team defeat Mumbai who were in fine form, especially with the performance of Raj Acharya. It was a good start for Sangli with many of his teammates coming together for the victory which was led by Abhiraj.
Yash Nimbalkar (Palghar District) - Yash Nimbalkar was the star for Palghar’s team victory against Beed. His deadly kabaddi talents enthralled the crowd as he scored 15 raid points—14 touchpoints plus a bonus point—and fetched a Super 10. He led his side to victory in the opening game of the promotion round which also consisted of a Super Raid. His raiding prowess helped the side take the lead and get the round off to a positive start.
