Matchday 9 of Krantijyot Mahila Pratishthan Yuva Kabaddi Series (Men’s) Inter District Youth League 2024 saw consecutive victories for Palghar and Nandurbar District teams. On the other hand, the season debutants, Satara and Dharashiv District teams are yet to start their winning ways. Some tremendous performances were seen in the YKS arena today. Abhishek Gunge (Sangli District) - A Raiding Masterclass was displayed by Abhishek in the arena, as he scored a Super 10 against Latur and helped his team to register their first win of this edition. He scored 14 touchpoints and 3 bonus points, which included a Super Raid and 3 unsuccessful attempts to fetch a point. In this edition, he will be the backbone of the raiding front for Sangli and his Raid Strike Rate of 76.47% is a perfect depiction of the same.
Ishwar Pathade (Nashik District) - Nashik’s Left Raider, Ishwar Pathade, was unstoppable in the arena with his raiding skills. He scored 16 raid points against Dharashiv, which included 14 touchpoints and 2 bonus points. With a Super 10 performance, he now has a Raid Strike Rate of 80.76% with a scoring rate of 10.5 raid points per match in this edition and will be an asset for Nashik throughout their journey.
Navaj Desai (Sangli District) – Guarding Sangli’s clan, Navaj Desai scored a High-5 against Latur. He was a nightmare for the Raiders, who found it tough to fetch points around his area. He scored 7 tackle points with a 70% tackle success rate. This is Navaj’s debut season and a High-5 in his second match will boost his confidence throughout the campaign.
