Four teams; UP Falcons, Vasco Vipers, Yuva Paltan, and Kurukshetra Warriors, are eliminated from the championship.
The day was filled with high-octane performances, dramatic raids, and solid defensive stands. In the first match, Jaipur Pink Cubs dominated UP Falcons with a convincing victory by a margin of 20 points, sealing the latter’s fate in the competition. Junior Steelers overcame Kurukshetra Warriors by 12 points in the next match. Chandigarh Chargers put up a commanding performance against Vasco Vipers, clinching a mammoth 25-point win in the day's third match. Sonipat Spartans wrapped up the day with a 9-point triumph over Yuva Mumba in the last match of the day, showcasing their attacking prowess and defensive stability.
On the individual front, Shivam Bhupendra Singh of Yuva Yoddhas remains the current tournament's Top Raider with 174 raid points, displaying remarkable consistency. Meanwhile, Sandeep Azad Saini of Chandigarh Chargers emerged as the standout defender, leading with 70 tackle points. His 16-tackle-point masterclass against Vasco Vipers was nothing short of spectacular, single-handedly dismantling their raiding unit and delivering one of the most heroic performances of YASC 2025. With Round 2 set to begin from Sunday, the competition is only expected to get fiercer. Tomorrow is the last matchday of Round 1, the final four fixtures of the round are all set to deliver thrilling action.
