Led by Manikandan J, Alathankarai Club beat PK Sports by 13 points (42-29). Their dominance was seen on both ends of the mat, leaving PK Sports’ Prabagaran Gopal’s 12 point effort powerless. Now, PK Sports chances to move forward in the tournament are extremely bleak. In match 2 of the day, Karpagam University beat Durai Singam in a rather interesting contest. Karpagam displayed an aggressive attacking style that resulted in 6 All-Out points and 21 raid points.

Durai Singam failed to capitalize on the attacking end, and bagged only 13 raid points overall. With this win, Karpagam University moved up to the fourth place while Durai Singam sit comfortably at 7th place.
