Unfortunate stars clouded Chennai Sports' kabaddi team as they opened day 23 of YKS TN Clubs with another loss. PRIST University handed them a brutal defeat, with the final score ending at 56-27. A perfect balance between raiding and defense paved the way for the PRIST boys. In match two, Durai Singam fought back after a previous loss as M. Venkateswaran's last-minute raid opened the gates to victory. A class super 10 from the raider heavily benefited the team, alongside the substitutes who followed the magic. All in all, the final score ended at 31-28.
In the third match, Nellai Kings beat KR Sports by a significant 10-point margin. There seems to be no way to stop Nellai Kings as they bagged yet another win on Wednesday afternoon. In a dominant match, Nellai Kings, led by Bharat S. (9 points: 7 raid points and 2 tackle points with 1 super tackle) and Rajapal J.'s 7-point effort, beat KR Sports by 10 points. KR Sports kept their hopes alive, courtesy of K. Ganganath's 9 points, but this performance wasn’t enough for KR Sports to fight back.
The day ended with a much-needed win for Alathankarai Club. Having lost their previous two games, Alathankarai Club saw their star players Jegan D. (11 points) and Jeneesh J. (9 points) step up when it mattered. Their combined effort helped Alathankarai Club beat Jayachitra Club with a score of 40-29. Despite their loss, Jayachitra’s positive takeaway would be K. Annadurai’s performance. He secured 12 points in the match and gave his team a spark of fire.
