True to the standards set by teams in both Pools, Day 21 of the Velammal Yuva Kabaddi Series Tamil Nadu Club 2024 was nothing short of a rollercoaster ride. From close finishes to one-sided wins, the day saw everything. The first game of the morning was between PRIST University and Nellai Kings. This game ended in a tie, orchestrated by Nellai Kings’ teamwork and PRIST University’s efforts, led by Elanthendral Elancheliyan’s 9-point performance. Following this, Durai Singam beat Jayachitra Club with a score of 37-34. Having lost their match yesterday, this win was much needed for Durai Singam. Marimuthu Perumal of Durai Singam took charge of the situation with his 7 touch points and 3 tackle points.
The third match was a rather intense contest. KR Sports bagged a much-needed win against Samy Academy, but this win didn’t come easy. KR Sports had to hold their nerves until the final whistle as they squeezed out a narrow 1-point victory (40-39). Samy Academy’s Mukesha Kannan’s successful raid at the end gave his team a ray of hope, but it wasn’t enough to claim the win or tie the score. KR Sports' efforts were led by K. Ganganth’s 12 points. This win also gave KR Sports a booster point. The final contest saw Chennai Sports securing yet another dominating win. Chennai Sports’ star players Nosuhad Ali (12 points) and B. Vijay (9 points) were instrumental in beating Alathankarai Club with a score of 37-29.
KR Sports emerged as the standout team of the day. While they held their nerves in a close game, they were dominant on both the defensive and attacking ends. They ended the day with 16 tackle points and 18 raid points.
