Day 4 of the Booster round was nothing short of a rollercoaster ride. The day started with a dominating performance by SRM University. They beat AMKC Gobi with a score of 35-18, and SRM’s efforts were led by Arunkumar’s 9 points and 1 tackle point. Following this was a nail-biting encounter between Sivagangai Warriors and PK Sports. With barely 30 seconds left on the clock, PK Sports were down by 3 points. PK Sports’ Yogananthan Senthilvelan's successful raid only helped them secure 1 point as the Warriors were saved by time running out.
M Arvinthapadian of Sivagangai Warriors bagged 11 points, while PK Sports’ Yogananthan (10 points) and Prabagaran Gopal’s 8-point, 4-tackle efforts were in vain. In the third game, NA Academy beat Karagam University by 10 points. This win positively affected NA Academy’s overall standings as they hold the 4th place.
The final game witnessed a tie between Vels University and Kattakudi Sports (37-37). Both teams were rock solid on the attacking and defensive ends. Marimuthu Selvam of Kattakudi Sports bagged 15 points while S. Sathis Kannan of Vels secured 10 points.
The team of the day was Sivagangai Warriors as they managed to keep their nerves intact and claim a narrow win. Sivagangai Warriors are steadily working on cementing their place in the top 10 on the points table, and today’s win has helped their cause.
