After a week of interesting matchups at the Yuva Kabbadi Series Tamil Nadu Clubs 2024, Day 7 of Pool A’s challenger round saw Karpagam University’s win streak end. Karpagam University fell short of a clean record after losing to Vels University by 3 points. S. Sathish Kannan of Vels University took charge and bagged 12 points.
The second game of the day was a high-scoring one. Kattakudi Sports beat KR Sports by 9 points (49-40) as Ramkumar S orchestrated 4 super raids and landed 27 points in total. Ganganath of KR Sports secured 22 points but his efforts were in vain. Jayachitra Club’s Bhuvaneshwaran Thennarasu collected 8 tackle points in game 3 and helped his team beat Alathankarai Club by a narrow margin. The final game between NA Academy and Nellai Sport resulted in a tie.
Vels University topped the table. As Pool A’s exciting contests come to a close, a fresh set of teams in Pool B gear up for a fun and competitive week.
