Following that Karpagam University beat Alathankarai Club, registering their 6th challenger round win. S Balamurugan's 12-point effort helped Karpagam to win by 39-29. Unfortunately, Manikandan's 14 points proved less for Alathankarai Club as the defence lost its charm.
The second half of the day saw the highest-point game of the edition as Vels University beat KR Sports with a score of 60-21. Thirupugal Anbu and Sarathiamarnath Subramaniyan's deadly duo bagged 22 points on the board. While one might consider it a raider's game, Vels University's overall effort was unparalleled. The last game witnessed Kattakudi Sports vs N.A. Academy, where the Kattakudi boys clinched a two-point win. A consistent effort helped register a 26-24 score at full-time.
