Pratik Rajaram Lad, born on May 26, 2004, in Kolhapur, Maharashtra, currently resides in Mumbai. His father, Rajaram Lad, serves in the police force, while his mother, Parvati Rajaram Lad, is a homemaker. Growing up with two elder siblings, Pooja and Prashant Lad, Pratik found his passion for kabaddi at the age of 10, starting his journey as a left corner defender. Under the mentorship of coach Sandeep Kalgaokar at the Sunil Sports Club in Mumbai, Pratik honed his skills, specializing in the ankle hold technique. Despite his siblings not playing kabaddi, Pratik's dedication to the sport remained unwavering. He admires Aslam Imandar for his exceptional raiding skills, aspiring to emulate his prowess on the kabaddi mat. Apart from kabaddi, Pratik is an avid sports enthusiast, actively participating in cricket as his favorite sport aside from kabaddi. Currently pursuing his college graduation degree in B.Com, he aims to represent Mumbai Shahar in the Pro Kabaddi League, fueled by his career highlight of being awarded the man of the match in a local tournament. With a passion for kabaddi deeply ingrained in his heart, Pratik dreams of making it big in the PKL arena, showcasing his talent and dedication to the sport on a national stage.
