Manish was born on August 25, 2002, in the vibrant town of Kaithal, Haryana. Growing up in a loving farming family, with his father Angrez tilling the fields and his mother Santro managing the home, he thrived in a close-knit environment. Inspired by the local kabaddi players, particularly his uncle, Manish found his passion for the sport at the age of 16, stepping onto the mat to embrace the thrill of competition. As a left cover defender, Manish has carved a niche for himself, showcasing his best skill, the dash. His commitment is evident in the rigorous training sessions he undertakes under the watchful eye of Coach Dilbagh Singh at the Pai School Ground. His hard work has already led him to significant achievements, including a stellar performance at the Yuva Kabaddi Series Summer Edition in 2022 with the Murthal Magnets, and a silver medal at the Khelo India event that same year. Outside of kabaddi, Manish, who is fluent in Hindi, Haryanvi, and English, finds motivation in watching his favorite player, Vijay Redu. He admires Redu’s precise ankle holds and calm nature. Currently in his final year of Bachelor of Arts studies, Manish dreams of one day representing India in kabaddi and securing a job, proving that his dedication and aspirations have only just begun.
